About Bow Cycle East Village
Calgary's downtown bike shop — sales, rentals & guided tours since 1957.
Bow Cycle East Village is the downtown outpost of Calgary's longest-running independent bike shop. Opened in 2021 inside the M2 building at 632 Confluence Way SE, this location brings Bow Cycle's nearly 70 years of cycling expertise to Calgary's urban core — right on the pathway system along the Bow River.
Originally launched as an e-bike specialty store, the East Village location has since expanded into a full-service bike shop carrying all styles — road, mountain, hybrid, cruiser, and electric. Think of it as a smaller version of the Bowness flagship, with the same trusted brands and knowledgeable staff in a convenient downtown location.
The rental fleet is a standout — the biggest collection of rental bikes in downtown Calgary. Visitors and locals can grab a city bike, e-bike, or road bike and hit the pathway network within minutes. The shop also offers guided city tours for those wanting a curated ride through Calgary.
The space is pet-friendly with free WiFi, so you can bring your dog and browse at your own pace. Same Bow Cycle expertise, same commitment to putting riders on the right bike — just without leaving downtown.

Hired a brand new Giant Contendo road bike for the day at East Village and rode 70km loop down around Fish Creek per their recommendation. I live in East Village and always take my bike in here. They’ll top up air, give it a quick check up. Always courteous and upbeat. These guys enjoy their job. I bought a bunch of stuff last time as they wouldn’t take any money for the air in the tires. Great team ! Martin
Wow Calgary, this is your place for anything bicycle related! I rode downtown from the deep SW with low air in my back tire and stopped in. Geoff helped me right away, topped me up, and showed me some pumps since I need one. I’m fairly new to cycling and he even taught me the three things to always …
"$26 for the fix and the tube" Come back and it's $38. That's not the fix and the tube. This language Geoff used was intentional, and deceptive. Disappointing after having decent rapport. No apology, just "ah I guess we'll have to go back and look at the tape." Nice dude 👎
Max and Adam were awesome in helping me get my older bike back on the road. Even though it was a busy Saturday, Max quickly took care of my flat tire and later helped me pick out larger tires to install. Max really knew his stuff, and the shop was super quick with the repair turnaround. All in all, …
